Moldova counts votes in first round of presidential election and referendum for EU accession
After almost 100% of ballots were counted, current president Maia Sandu gained 42.31% of votes, her opponent Alexandru Stoianoglo - 26.07%. They advanced to the second round, which will be held on November 3. Sandu's headquarters was disappointed with the voting results.

#EU. 50.42% of voters voted for the “yes” option supported by Sandu. This result was also far below what her supporters had hoped for. Sandu even claimed that there was an attempt at rigging.
