💥NEW: Jillian Michaels: “What I find so funny is that Obama — who shamed all of the black men for not voting for Harris — then went to fricking Virginia and campaigned AGAINST the black woman who’s a Marine … FOR a WHITE liberal who worked for the CIA.”

He had spent so many years internalizing music that composing became almost like mathematics emotion memory. He didn’t need external sound the way most composers do. The music existed fully formed in his mind. Many musicians who worked with him at the time said he seemed to be “hearing” something no one else could hear. One of his students wrote that Beethoven would sometimes stop playing and just sit there, completely still, as if listening to music inside his head.

Elon Musk breaks down the exact playbook legacy media uses for propaganda and how they intentionally shape false narratives: “Unfortunately, what I’ve learned is that legacy media propaganda is very effective at making people believe things that aren’t true An example is people calling me a Nazi over a random hand gesture at a rally, when all I was saying was, ‘My heart goes out to you,’ while talking about space travel” They do it on repetition all at once; essentially, that will end up outweighing the reality Repeat a narrative enough times, amplify it across headlines, television, and social media, and millions will believe it without ever examining the full context or even the actual reality

Russell Crowe on Gladiator 2: ‘They failed, and they failed because they didn’t understand what made the first film so successful: it had a moral core. Here’s the thing, most people want that. On the surface, they might go for entertainment, but if they’re going to love something and keep it with them forever, like that movie? …The love for that thing is because of its moral core. All guys want to be that man who can stay that strong, and all women want a man who can love them in that way.’

Elon could liquidate every company he owns - SpaceX, Tesla, X, Neuralink, Boring, xAI - and give the proceeds to SNAP recipients as free soda and Doritos for roughly 10 years. Or... he could cover about one year of interest on the national debt. This is the level of economic understanding behind “Elon should just pay his fair share.”

When I said this throughout my campaign, CNN people called me cruel and unhinged. Now, after they helped secure the election for the 2 dorks responsible for all these problems, CNN is now echoing my campaign talking points as gospel. Fascinating!

they’re not jobs if they’re not valued. they’re not valued if there aren’t customers out there willing to pay them for their great work. needing the government to “create” a job is tantamount to welfare and that level of welfare resolves these individuals to a dependency on the government and lack of economic mobility. and chains our people, collectively, to a more indentured future. you may be well intentioned but you have, and always will, fail to see the destitute folly of government as a job creation engine. i have tried to engage you on this topic, in good faith, with empiricism and reasoning, but you have only dodged my points and pivoted to some populist refrain about the importance of taxation and the evils of productivity-driven success. i can only assume you’re dodging these truths because you and the rest of the politburo leadership have deemed the conversation unsafe speech and put your oligopoly at risk. let’s leave it at that then. perhaps if your ways get their day, we can all bask in the glories of the dark ages ahead.

Game theory from here is super interesting: Original Mags (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta) now have a serious non-zero opportunity to tank the frontier labs. Go to the government, kneecap the labs’ motion of putting the latest models out in the wild, become the trusted gatekeeper between the labs and the public at large (including internationally) by having the labs go through their clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) and implement strict KYC to seal the deal. The frontier labs should have seen this coming years ago and implemented a robust KYC for just this moment. The fact they didn’t is kind of concerning. Why did they not do it? Best guess is because it would have changed the run-rate revenues (downward) which would have then changed funding dynamics - lower valuations, more dilution, less secondary. A valuation reset may happen now anyways, except the labs may end up with less control and more restrictions at the end of it. At the same time, everyone is already clamoring about token prices of the old models from the labs anyways… This couldn’t be a better setup for open source and neoclouds. Big question is can they meet the moment? There are too few of them and their progress seems sporadic at best.

There are 2 types of people: 1. People who see a trillionaire and wonder how they can innovate and emulate such success 2. People who see a trillionaire and seethe with resentment Do everything you can to ensure you're always around the first kind of person.

A man working as a welder at SpaceX for $28 an hour has just become a millionaire. Juan Hernandez, who came from Mexico, welded rockets for SpaceX at $28 an hour. SpaceX gave him $10,000 in stock when he went full time in 2015, and he bought more with every paycheck for 10 years. $SPCX is now trading at $167, making his shares worth over $1 million.
