Elon Musk just became the world’s first trillionaire. Let’s make sure he’s also the last.

Je pense sérieusement qu’une coupe du monde en Corée du Nord aurait été plus ouverte sur le monde

To everyone so eager to cancel someone for a tattoo they got at age 22, a drunk text, a selfie they took in the middle of a mental health crisis: Show us your laptop. Show us your iCloud. Open your entire digital life to your worst enemy. No context. No filter. No explanation. You won’t. You won’t because you know what I know. Any one of us, frozen at our worst moment, photographed in our lowest hour, looks like a monster. Looks like a stranger. Looks like someone who deserves to be cast out. That is not who we are. My mom and baby sister were killed in a car accident when I was just a kid. Cancer took my brother Beau, my best friend and my rock. I battled alcoholism. I battled addiction. I chose the coward’s way out more times than I can count. For years I believed the defining chapters of my life were written by tragedy, loss, and shame. I no longer believe that. Pain can shape us. Loss can humble us. Failures can leave scars that never fully fade. But none of them have the authority to define us. And it sure as hell ain’t the critic that counts. That authority belongs to us alone-the person in the arena. Every setback presents a choice. Play the victim, or cut the bullshit and take ownership for who we become next. Life does not determine our character. It reveals it. Again and again we are asked the same question. When shit happens, what next? We are not defined by what happened to us. We are not defined by the worst photo, the worst text, the worst tattoo, the worst night. We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day. So before you reach for the gavel - show us your laptop. You won’t. The whole world saw mine. And I am still here. Still becoming. Still choosing. Still standing. That is the only definition that matters.

You used to claim that Hon. Ndindi Nyoro had delivered massive development in his constituency because he allegedly had influence over bigger allocations. Now let me ask you plainly, by that same standard you were using then, how much tarmac have you actually delivered for your own people? And how many schools have you upgraded with cabros, classrooms, or even basic infrastructure that can be pointed at without excuses?

This shit is meant to be hilarious but do you know how much hatred you have to have in your heart to be moved to tears like this! Even Hitler in all his rants wasn’t moved to tears by his antisemitism! This is a level of hatred you can’t even begin to quantify! This is scary!

They did not even mind to give us an Internally Coherent Judgement, and add the fact that the Summary is out but the full judgement itself of such a weighty issue is not yet with us. We shall not be kind in the CRITICISM against the 3 Judge Bench;

Crime is now being viewed through an entirely racialised lens – but only when the perpetrators aren't white. When Chas Corrigan stabbed a Saudi student to death, or Paul Doyle mowed down Liverpool fans, white people didn't have to fear being a target of collective retaliation.

The Gachagua judgment is a political decision at best as it is legally absurd. The Constitution expressly provides that any decision in violation of rights void. The effect of impeachment is that the person cannot hold public office. So how does a decision in violation of rights for which the Court has awarded damages operate as a bar to running for office. Those are judicial gymnastics that reflect a captured court

Yes I will write about the Judgment (Tonight, if I get the judgment). But with all due respect, this is judicial nonsense. It is a treason against the Constitution and it must be called out; openly and bluntly. It is not about Gachagua, it is about a Judiciary that is going down

I don’t like @rigathi’s toxic and petty politics. I’ve disliked it since I found him at the University of Nairobi in 1986 singing “KANU and Moi Juu, Juu Kabisa!” But as a man who is fully committed to fairness, justice and the rule of law, I believe that the Court’s ruling today was predetermined, is legally unsound and factually faulty. It should be overturned on appeal. The impeachment of Gachagua was not conducted fairly, was unjustly rushed and was motivated by parochial personal differences with @WilliamsRuto. The court ought to have nullified it.

Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy. One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what?? The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you. Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!

Based on Mr. Aoun's comments, one would think it's Iran that has occupied 1/5 of Lebanon, displaced 1/4 of Lebanese and bombing his country on daily basis. Had Lebanon been bargaining chip for Iran, we'd have a deal long ago. Save Lebanon from your real foe, Mr. President.

The Kenya government has discovered a new trick. They have been taking money from your salary every month for housing. You did not agree to this. Courts told them to stop. They ignored the courts and kept taking. Now they have looked at all that money and had a wonderful idea. Why not use it to secure a loan of Sh100 billion? Think about what that means. They are using your money as guarantee to borrow more money. Money that you will also pay back. To build houses that you cannot afford. Using a salary from which they are still deducting. For housing you will never own. It is a perfect system. For them. But here is the part that should make every Kenyan worker sit up. This government can feel 2027 approaching. The door is closing. So before they leave they have decided to write cheques on your behalf that will take years to pay. The next government will inherit the debt. The next Kenyan worker will pay it. The current team will be long gone and very comfortable. This is what happens when people who have nothing to lose make decisions for people who have everything to lose. They are not borrowing against their own futures. They are borrowing against yours. The houses remain unaffordable. The levy keeps coming. The loan is on its way. And somewhere in a very nice office a press release is being prepared calling this a historic milestone in delivering affordable housing to Kenyans. Your payslip will tell a different story. Dismas wa Tabu. Dreaming in installments. Billed in full.
