As a 20 year veteran of the user/customer-side of supercomputing, now working for a cloud provider, I'm often amazed at how poorly many in the HPC community understands the reality of cloud HPC market - and how poorly some cloud people understand HPC.

Red Hat is maybe the only company that can give you a solid reference architecture for edge infrastructure. I ask every “edge” vendor to draw the edge on a whiteboard. Vast majority can’t do it, and in fact, they’re surprised anyone would ask.

On January 6, armed Trumpist militias will be rallying in DC, at Trump's orders. It's highly likely that they'll try to storm the Capitol after it certifies Joe Biden's win. I don't think this has sunk in yet.
