Great work, setting right examples for younger generation.
What a beautiful Sunday morning, all thanks to J. K. Shah sir for giving me the opportunity to donate groceries to 1,000 needy people in Andheri, Mumbai. The total cost of all groceries must be around Rs. 16-18 Lakhs easily.
The smile I could see on the faces whenever a packet of oil was put in their bags, was just priceless.
The most touching moment was when a mom came with her daughter, who was physically challenged, and when she saw the entire month's groceries given to her, she literally was into tears.
Today, I realized the importance and luxury of having food whenever we want. We order food whenever we are hungry, or eat our meals at a time that we want. However, there are millions of people out there who don't even have the money to buy 1 meal for themselves. And I think it is our responsibility to do whatever possible we can from our end, to donate or help people, be it as small as possible.
Kudos to J. K. Shah sir for doing this - an initiative that started with helping families of their office help, slowly converted to a big initiative helping ~1,000 families with their groceries for lifetime.
Every month, I try to set aside 10% of my monthly income to give it for charity, and give it to my mom who helps with education for underprivileged kids in Nashik. The reason of sharing this publicly is just to inspire someone who can start helping the needy ones around them, at whatever scale possible.
Numbers don't matter, intentions do! :)
As long as you have the right intention, numbers will follow automatically at scale later on!
