This essay on work language turns to @iamfujimura, @knorriseyt, Wendell Berry, C.S. Lewis, and Ivan Illich (among others) for insight. I was/am grateful to get to articulate thoughts I've been mulling over for a decade (!). Thank you to @LMSacasas for helping me write this.

This essay seeks to showcase the beauty in both intellectual *and* embodied disciplines, seeing both as God-given gifts. Whether we're using our heads or our hands, there is value to our work. We should call it "good"—not just for what it produces, but for what it *is.*

Some brief thoughts on news consumption & neighborliness—offered up with a knowledge of their imperfection. We need some hope when the events of our world are tragic & infuriating, and I pray this is hopeful to you: granola.substack.com/p/love-…

"As long as that tension between the rational structure and the natural world exists, and you are in some sense on both sides, then it’s of interest. But if you say, ‘this window is enough for me,’ you’ve taken sides, and you’re wrong." granola.substack.com/p/livin…
