Nice move for free public transport in vic sure- but have to remind govt about rural vic where services don’t exist - meaning people remain absolutely exposed to price rises.
Government won’t implement a tiny container levy to adequately fund biosecurity in Australia because it’s inflationary but will look to put an inflationary emissions tax on fertiliser imports while excluding any taxes on coal and gas.
Yep.
I am really angry with the paper dcceew.gov.au/climate-change…
Its arse about: essentially contradicts the Government's own Ag and Land Sector Emissions plan and isnt really working with Paris Agreement Article 6.2 and 6.4
And does fuck all except up inflationary costs.
Not ag related but what is happening with @theage - the puff pieces on the rich listers, the fawning coverage of some ridiculous $100g to join golf club - what was the point of that article? Still loads of great journalism, just a worrying amount of flim-flam on the side
Summer rain can be annoying - but given the outlook for the rest of the year I reckon most here in the Wimmera would take a good soak - hopefully can conserve half at this time of year. Obvs early days, but more and more models jumping onboard.
Interesting to see all the #REZs nominated by the Vic govt are basically in quiet parts of western Vic - couldn't have anything mucking up the high country or the coast where the city folk go for their dose of the country life.
OK - unlike many I am not intrinsically opposed to #renewables but it's increasingly getting on my goat when I hear city callers to talk back patronisingly tell country people what they need to do 'for the greater good'. All the major benefits go elsewhere and we get crumbs.
