Through the deliberate design of end groups, we showed that our method is compatible with many controlled polymerization strategies (ROMP, ROP, ATRP, and RAFT), and the kinetics of the Au(III)-mediated S-arylation enable the synthesis of >50 kDa diblock copolymers in one hour!

Our team (with @group_maynard and @houk1000) reports the development of the fastest known abiotic Cys bioconjugation enabled by organometallic Au(III) reagents. Rates are over 10^4 M^-1s^-1, which allows for rapid bioconjugation at picoM concentrations! See our preprint for more details: doi.org/10.26434/chemrxiv-20….
