We welcome the MS that mentioned agriculture at today's @EP_Environment Council. 👏Farmers protests should not refrain the EU from taking action on #climatechange.
Following the @EUEnvironment's report (bit.ly/4acajso) the @EU_Commission's reply many MS called for urgent actions said that they stand behind the #2040ClimateTarget proposal.
We would like to remind all MS of making sure to also take action on agriculture as a main emitter. 🏭🐄

🌄The @EU_Commission released a proposal for the new 2040 climate target - a net #GHG reduction of 90%.
👩💼 IIASA researchers, led by Lena Höglund Isaksson and Andre Deppermann provided some of the essential scientific analysis for this.
