Some Ghanaians living in South Africa say they are not happy with reports circulating back home claiming Ghanaians are being beaten and attacked daily in South Africa πΏπ¦. According to some residents, they are now receiving worried calls from family members in Ghana π¬π asking them to return home out of fear.
They insist that what is happening is mainly protests by South Africans against illegal migration, something they say has happened for years, and not random attacks on every foreign national. Some also claim that many of the people who recently returned to Ghana were undocumented migrants who already wanted assistance to travel back home.
The situation continues to spark debate across Africa, with many calling for calm, truth, and proper solutions to migration and unemployment challenges on the continent.
