An anonymous group calling itself the "Irish Citizen Army" surfaces online, claiming it'll dismantle systemic injustices and fortify communities against external threats. Bold words. Very revolutionary. Very "we'll handle what the state won't."
Ireland has real problems, housing crisis, cost of living squeezing ordinary people, communities that feel abandoned by the state. That's fertile ground for groups like this. When people stop believing institutions will protect them, they start looking for something that will. Or someone.
Worth watching. Because if the state keeps failing, more of these groups will surface and not all of them will be content with rhetoric.
