Spez/Steve Huffman killed 3rd party apps (Reddit's API (It was free to use but now costs ~$20M per year for something like ApolloApp) It's the biggest problem making people hate him but if you do some research you'll see there is also a lot of really bad things about him

Just deleted the Apollo app and the official @Reddit app off my phone. Looks like I'm stuck to Reddit on my PC using ad blockers. The official app sucks and crams ads down your throat. I am done. #RedditBlackout #reddit #ApolloApp

Reddit's API changes mean developers will have to pay for requests. This has led to popular third-party Reddit apps like Apollo announcing their shutdown. The cost for API access is reportedly $12,000 for every 50 million requests. #RedditAPI #ApolloApp

/apolloapp kicks some serious ass!! How much is it loved? To the point to start a war against ⁦@Reddit⁩ twisted motherfuckers. This has to be won. User have the real power here, just use it to enforce changes for the better 👍. reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comme…
