📷芸術の秋シリーズ Vol.2 JICA横浜館内では、「アート×アフリカ～難民と共に描く平和～」の作品を展示しています。今週は第2回目として、イベントの様子や作品についてお届けします。 --------- 実施レポート「アート×アフリカ～難民と共に描く平和～」 Part2/3 4つのキャンバスに浮かび上がったのは、国を越えた1つの願いでした。 前回の投稿はこちら：facebook.com/JICAYokohamaJom… 2025年8月17日（日）、横浜 #クイーンズスクエア の広場に100人を超える参加者の「平和への想い」が集まりました。子どもも大人も、初めて出会う人々と肩を並べながら、4枚の大きなキャンバスに思い思いの絵を描いていきます。 最初は少し緊張していた参加者たちも、筆を動かすうちに表情がほぐれ、キャンバスの上には笑顔とともに「平和」のイメージが広がっていきました。「アフリカ」や「難民」の話を聞くのが初めてであっても、また、遠い存在のように感じても、それらに思いを馳せながら色を重ね合わせていくことで、徐々にそばに感じられるようになっていく時間となりました。 この日一番の目玉は #Artolution のアーティスト、マックス氏とナルヨン氏によるライブペイントショーです。彼らの力強く、そして優しいタッチが、参加者の想いを一つの作品へと導いていきます。 ナルヨン氏は、完成した絵に込めた想いをこう語ってくれました。 「キャンバス1枚だけを見ても、何が描かれているか分からないかもしれません。でも、4枚を並べると、人と鳥が見えてきます。鳥はウガンダの国旗にあるカンムリヅルと、日本の鶴。カンムリヅルは平和の象徴で、片足で立ちながらもう一歩を踏み出そうとしています。これは、ウガンダの社会が一つになって前に進もうとしている姿を表しているのです。「平和」の象徴である２つの鳥が向かう先を、「ウガンダ」と「日本」の２人が見つめています。その視線の先には、異なる文化や背景を持つ私たちが共に願う「平和」があるのではないでしょうか。」 4枚のキャンバスに描かれた作品のタイトルは、「The Cranes of a Hundred Hands （百の手が描く２羽の鶴）」。アートが、日本の方々と難民の方々の「平和への願い」つをなぎ、その願いを現実に近づける力を、誰もが感じた瞬間でした。 会場には、#UNHCR モーリタニアの赤崎元太様も駆けつけてくださいました。モーリタニアに避難したマリ難民への支援を担当する赤崎さんは、ご自身の経験から、アートやスポーツがどれほど子どもや若者に希望を与えるか、力強く語ってくださいました。 完成した作品は、現在JICA横浜2階に展示されています。ぜひ足を運んでいただき、キャンバスに込められた“願い”を感じてみてください。 次回： #TICAD9 会場で見た！人と人を繋ぐアートの力と平和への貢献 各作品の説明はこちら：canva.com/design/DAGwB6fz3k8… #芸術の秋 #JICA横浜 #アートでつながる #国際交流 #平和を描く #横浜観光

This is Max Frieder. Back in 2016, he founded Artolution with buddy and fellow artist Joel Bergner. They started with a hunger to serve war-torn communities (Syria) and the socially marginalized (Brazilian Favellas and the US). Now, through Artolution, they have: “✅trained and certified over 120 community artists globally, ✅ served over 10,000 participants in over 35 countries, ✅ and set up year-round programs in Uganda, Bangladesh, Jordan, Colombia and the United States, with more in the works.” Luckily, Max will come nerd out with us this Monday, 8 PM EST.
