People are really clinging to their last few surrogate activities modernity allows them for dear life to not fall into the chasm of helpless nihilism that swallowed up everything else, so they can feel like a big boy who did something. Like captive lab chimps in a bizarre prison experiment, they do proscribed repetitive movements after proscribed wageying periods so their otherwise sedentary lifestyle doesn't waste their bones into contorted twists surround by PVC plastic infused goyslop blubber. 6 to 10 reps. 3 to 4 sets. 3 or 4 times a week. Holy shit bro. How'd you think of that? You must be going big places. I wouldn't mess with you. You sound like a real live wire. Notice how I never told anyone not to lift or said I didn't. But people are still crashing out like I just kicked their new puppy in the nuts because I made the obviously true statement that people mostly do this for physical vanity, that it's not practically useful in their day to day lives, and it's a relatively dull way to exercise. Well why is that? What's there to be so mad about? Who are you trying to convince? I already know you're just jacking yourself off which is exactly why I said it. So that leaves you convincing yourself. That you're a bronze warrior man against time, instead of a common pervert with an office job like the rest of the slobs, who no one gaf about how they spend their free time doing boring brosplits and probably not much else. Let's get those numbers up champ. Just like the GDP or the shareholder value or your boomer boss's sex tourism vacation fund. If the line goes up, you didn't give up, and that's all that matters. If you can't think of what to do, just keep doing dumb shit till you drop. Because then you won't have time to think about anything. The better bet, I'd bet.
99% of men lifting weights are looksmaxxing to have better sex. Just give up and admit it. There is no practical reason to be lifting all that weight, it's sheer vanity like male makeup. You people aren't hauling tree trunks or getting into street tough scuffles either. Gtfo.

Funny enough, it was my fear before switching, but as soon as I did the switch I found out that having a variety of bodyparts trained meant I could go longer before hitting a wall. On upper lower, I crash and burn at around the 4-5th exercise (this is an exaggeration, but I definitely am mentally out of it) On FB, I can go at least 9 exercises (have yet to try more) without a dip in motivation. On brosplits, it rarely passed 4 exercises before I was sick of it. N=1 I guess

The current trend in fitness social media is clearly looking to be high frequency training. 1- I hope we're moving away from lengthened partial bs 2- Be weary of high frequency training if you don't understand it Fullbody training is the highest frequency you can go. You can train every other day with great results if you program it well. Beginners have a lot of leeway on the programming front. But the more advanced you are the more nuanced and complex it's going to be to make sure the frequency actually hits the muscle groups you're looking to grow. This is simply because you need to get more varied inputs (exercises) to get regional hypertrophy as an advanced trainee (don't worry about this if you're in the early stages of training) A lot of FB routines I've seen are glorified brosplits with lower total volume per muscle. This means you'll maintain at best if you're more advanced. Sometimes it's better to use simpler splits (U/L for example) to have that margin of error. Remember, a fiber can't grow if it isn't activated.

Brosplits are fucking stupid. You can train pretty much all muscle groups a minimum of 2x a week, you can train your biceps, forearms and calves basically everyday without overtraining, your upper back can take almost infinity volume.

Cameraman gave up before I did apparently. Shifting my routine from brosplits to upper-lower splits 3x per week. Volume and frequency let’s get it.

Truth.. just do alternating heavy (intense) light (more volume lighter weights) heavy light heavy light and a walk/flexibility/mobility/balance-only-days or pushpulllegs or even brosplits for years, with some level of discomfort (progressive overload), and u will progress.
