सीएए के तहत 14 लोगों को मिला भारतीय नागरिकता प्रमाण पत्र नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम (CAA) के तहत केंद्र सरकार द्वारा अधिसूचना जारी करने के करीब दो महीने बाद, आज 14 लोगों को पहला भारतीय नागरिकता प्रमाण पत्र दिया गया। यह कदम पाकिस्तान, अफगानिस्तान और बांग्लादेश से आए हुए गैर-मुस्लिम शरणार्थियों को भारतीय नागरिकता देने की प्रक्रिया शुरू करता है। सीएए की मुख्य बातें: •पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश और अफगानिस्तान से आए बिना कागजात वाले गैर-मुस्लिम प्रवासियों के लिए भारतीय नागरिकता पाने के लिए आवेदन की अवधि 11 साल से घटाकर 5 साल कर दी गई है। ये प्रवासी 31 दिसंबर 2014 से पहले भारत आए थे। केंद्रीय गृह सचिव श्री अजय कुमार भल्ला ने नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में इन 14 लोगों को नागरिकता प्रमाण पत्र सौंपे। उन्होंने सीएए की प्रमुख विशेषताओं के बारे में भी बताया। इस कार्यक्रम में सचिव डाक, निदेशक (आईबी), भारत के महारजिस्ट्रार और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे। सीएए को दिसंबर 2019 में इन तीन देशों से आए हुए हिंदू, सिख, जैन, बौद्ध, पारसी और ईसाई धर्म के सताए गए गैर-मुस्लिम प्रवासियों को भारतीय नागरिकता देने के लिए बनाया गया था। हालाँकि, इस कानून को राष्ट्रपति की सहमति तो मिल गई थी, लेकिन भारतीय नागरिकता प्रदान करने के लिए जरूरी नियमों को इस साल मार्च महीने में ही जारी किया गया। इसमें चार साल से भी ज्यादा की देरी हुई। इस अधिसूचना को लेकर विपक्ष ने कड़ी आलोचना की। उनका कहना है कि यह कानून भेदभावपूर्ण है और इसे लोकसभा चुनावों को ध्यान में रखते हुए बनाया गया है। हालांकि, केंद्र सरकार का कहना है कि सीएए किसी भी सताए गए मुस्लिम को मौजूदा कानूनों के तहत भारतीय नागरिकता के लिए आवेदन करने से नहीं रोकता है। सीएए को लागू करने के फैसले के खिलाफ देश के कई हिस्सों में विरोध प्रदर्शन देखने को मिले थे। कुछ लोगों को यह चिंता है कि इस कानून का इस्तेमाल उन्हें अवैध अप्रवासी घोषित करने और उनकी भारतीय नागरिकता छीन लेने के लिए किया जा सकता है। सरकार इन आशंकाओं को खारिज करती है। उनका कहना है कि यह कानून मुस्लिम बहुल देशों में उत्पीड़न का सामना कर रहे अल्पसंख्यकों की मदद करने के लिए जरूरी है। सरकार का यह भी कहना है कि सीएए "भारत की सदाबहार उदार संस्कृति के अनुसार उन्हें सुखी और समृद्ध भविष्य के लिए भारतीय नागरिकता प्रदान करने" का एक प्रयास है। #CAA #News #India #CAAImplementation #IndianCitizenship #RefugeesInIndia #CAAProtests
