Yes.
I call this 'Childhood Transition Abuse' CTA.
It is the daylight twin of Childhood Sexual Abuse CSA.
The deeply irresponsible article by Phoebe Davis,
@ObserverUK was, in effect, endorsing CTA.
And, whilst we're at it, we need to stop showing pictures of 'transed' children in the media, (or, at best the children's faces should be blurred).
These are abuse images.
We are all familiar with the concept of 'CSAM' - Child Sexual Abuse Material.
We now need to start getting our heads around the idea of CTAM - Child Transtition Abuse Material.
Any picture, or video of a 'transitioned' child, is an example of CTAM.
The rule should be this:
If you can't show a picture of a child unclothed, or involved in sexual activity, then you should not show a picture of that same child pretending to be:
(a) the opposite sex; or,
(b) no sex at all.
Papers like the
@MailOnline commonly and gleefully show CTAM images. They turn these into splashy, 'fun' stories about the 'trans' children of various Hollywood nitwits.
(And, don't get me started on the bloody
@BBC - they are CTAM perpetrators-in-chief!).
Journalists need to understand that by showing CTAM images they are perpetrating and engaging in the continued abuse of vulnerable children.
This practice needs to stop.
Children need to be protected.
They are either too young to understand what's being done to them, or they are being compelled into 'transitioning' by pushy parents.
Either way, they cannot meaningfully give consent.
And, by showing images of them 'transitioned', we are further exploiting and victimising them.
(The least the Observer can do now, is to pull the article and Phoebe Davis should apologise to Rainbows for smearing them).

Telling a boy that they might be a girl is itself the kind of sexual abuse that could provoke this kind of reaction.
Trans-coercive parents need to be kept away from their kids
