De reden waarom de EC niet akkoord gaat is omdat de steun lijkt op een capacitymechanism en dus ook zo behandeld wordt. Als marktverandering of een kabel naar het buitenland ook werkt moet dat eerst gedaan worden. Dat is los van gas/nuke, dus Zweden zal hier ook op moeten letten.
