Also watch this video from ASML. It will really help with the understanding of chipmaking. And the talk to AI about CoWos, CoPos, & Intel’s EMIB.

I think we’re headed towards a world where overseas chipmaking supply chains are impeded to the point of no output and local production supply is called for for the next couple of years in perpetuity

The recent 20%-40% correction in high-beta AI names highlights a major rotation. Smart money is quietly moving from speculative narratives to rock-solid fundamentals. Look at the relative strength in $ASML, $LRCX, $CRDO, $LLY, and $JNJ. Institutional capital is splitting into two defensive buckets: 🔹 The Semiconductor Moat: $ASML, $LRCX, and $KLAC control the chipmaking supply chain. No matter who wins the software war, the physical infrastructure requires their equipment. Meanwhile, $CRDO solves the critical data center bottleneck with connectivity chips. 🔹 The Healthcare Safe Haven: $LLY offers a rare combo of secular growth (GLP-1) and defensive stability, while $JNJ remains the classic defensive anchor with unmatched cash flow. Bottom line: When volatility spikes, the market always returns to earnings-driven Alpha. #Macro #Trading #Stocks #Options

Most trapped-ion quantum computers steer their qubits with lasers. $IONQ steers them with a chip. A new 2026 sector report spells out IonQ's edge: its Electronic Qubit Control puts qubit control onto standard semiconductor chips — no laser rig required. Here's why that matters for investors. Lasers are the hardest part to scale and to manufacture. Move control onto a chip, and quantum hardware starts to look like ordinary chipmaking. That's the logic under buying a fab like SkyWater. It's not a science demo. It's a manufacturing moat. #QuantumComputing thequantuminsider.com/2026/0…

Europe’s control over ASML is not meaningful leverage if the U.S. can cut us off from advanced models. The decisive bottleneck is not chipmaking equipment, but access to frontier AI itself.

Two major Japanese chemical manufacturers could halt production of a gas crucial to AI chipmaking starting next month, as supply tightens and prices surge amid Beijing’s export controls on tungsten. The price of tungsten hexafluoride has jumped more than 200 per cent year on year because of supply bottlenecks, coupled with rising chip demand, market data showed. The gas is a critical precursor in the semiconductor industry, where it is used to develop the microscopic connections inside advanced AI chips built on 3- to 7-nanometre processing nodes. The latest available data on Tuesday showed the price of five-nines tungsten hexafluoride meaning 99.999 per cent purity stood at more than 1,700 yuan (US$251) per kg, triple that of a year earlier. scmp.com/economy/global-econ…

Americans only know America. We have Airbus, the world leader in aviation & aerospace; BMW’s X3, the top EV in range; ASML, producing the world’s most critical chipmaking machines; and strong AI and robotics players like Neura or Mistral. We just don’t brag about it like you do

"The MATCH Act ends a system where American firms alone bear the cost of restraint while China’s chipmaking ambitions advance." Thank you @SenatorAndyKim for working with @SenatorRicketts on this bill and entering our coalition's letter into the record.

$LRCX — AVOID 📊 Lam Research Corporation designs, manufactures, markets, refurbishes, and services semiconductor processing equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits in the United States 🎯 Q1 FY26 | Rev $6B | EPS $1.47 vs $1.36 🟢 | Margin 35.0% 💡 Consensus expects ~20% revenue growth and EPS expansion, but the current P/E of 60.3x vs. a historical median of ~20x and a peer band of 9.7-20x implies extreme optimism. The reverse DCF indicates the market is pricing in -1.6% FCF growth, meaning even moderate growth disappoints. 📉 Reward/Risk: 0.7:1 🏢 Business Quality: 9/10 - Dominant semiconductor equipment player with gross margins near 50%, operating margins 35%, and strong cash generation; critical to advanced chipmaking, but cyclical end-market exposure limits full marks. 📊 Valuation: rich — P/E 60.3x (trailing) vs. Also in play: $AMAT $KLAC $LAM $TER $ASML $MKSI

Empyrean Technology, a major Chinese electronic design automation (EDA) provider, became the latest supporter of the new chipmaking methodology. The company recently unveiled Argus, a new physical verification platform for three-dimensional integrated circuit (3D IC) design, integrated into its expanding suite of tools. It described 3D IC technology as “a key carrier” for implementing Huawei’s “Tau Scaling Law”.
