most QF rounds spread money thin — some projects get funded below the minimum they need to ship anything useful. @gitcoin's GG21 CollabTech round tested a fix: Thresholds. projects declare minimum viable funding. miss it? your matching gets redistributed to projects that CAN deliver. result: 16% of the pool got reallocated. 3 projects that would've been underfunded crossed the line. the catch? most teams treated their threshold as an afterthought — because the culture of QF rounds is 'top up funding,' not 'fund a specific deliverable.' mechanism design is easy. cultural adoption is hard. gitcoin.co/case-studies/gg21…

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗼’𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝟯 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 Getting value in this space is not emphasized on enough, and the more I look around, the more I realize how rare true builders are. That’s why this account caught my attention. Today’s shout out goes to @_Daniel_Ospina He’s the guy calmly connecting $BTC and $ETH rails to real businesses, real farmers in Latin America, and real clinics in Africa while most of crypto argues about layer-2 scaling or meme coins. He was once Head of Governance at Aragon, one of the earliest DAO experiments. Later he joined the Supervisory Council of SingularityNET (yes, the Sophia-the-robot people). After years inside top-tier Web3 projects, he realized a hard truth: crypto was building incredible tech… that almost no one outside crypto actually needed. So he shifted. Today he leads venture building at @RnDAO__ and focuses exclusively on “CollabTech” tools that help real organizations collaborate better using blockchain when it’s needed, and normal databases when it’s not. No more hackathons ending in yet another unused DEX. He pushes for deep customer research, real pilots, and boring but functional products. Some of his recent moves: ☞ Co-authored “The Networked Firm,” a practical blueprint for the next generation of collaborative companies. ☞ Launched the Innovators Fellowship, a paid program where founders build real ventures with mentorship and funding ☞ Helped steer Celo toward real-world adoption. MiniPay now has millions of users in Africa because they focused on apps, distribution, and real human needs, not shiny tech. His thesis is simple: Use $ETH for identity and reputation. Use $BTC as the ultimate collateral layer. Use stablecoins on fast, cheap chains like Celo for everyday payments but only when it solves a real human problem. In a space full of noise, Daniel is doing the unsexy but necessary work, listening to farmers, doctors, cooperatives, and building exactly what they ask for. Follow @_Daniel_Ospina if you care more about where Web3 will be in 2030 than what $ETH will do next week. if more people build like him, both will turn out just fine. 😉

Political socialism tends to have very different connotations between Europe and USA. What Americans might call "socialist", like universal healthcare or subsidized education, Europeans just consider normal features of a welfare state, regardless of political ideology So just curious where you draw the line One area where we can probably meet, regardless of the line, is that states are (currently) pretty bad allocators/managers. Whether that means better to privatise or not, for me is very case specific. And a lot of the work we do on collaboration technologies is to improve how collectives (states, companies, etc) can allocate and manage resources, so projecting socialism into the future for me gets a bit muddled with different scenarios of CollabTech progress or lack thereof.

The way most corporations fail to keep up with new innovations is not through ignorance. They try new technologies very early. Too early... And then get burnt and lose the willingness to keep trying, thus missing the wave when an innovation takes off. (or having to pay 100x the cost to get involved later on). Same thing is happened with VCs and collaboration tech in 2021-22. They put money in things like Super DAO, at $110m valuation pre-product and led by someone without an organization/collabtech background 🙄. No wonder that didn't work out! And maybe it could have, but it was clearly a moonshot. And now the infra has matured, our understanding of how these models can work too. And the underlying need for billions of people who are poorly served by current organizational infrastructure hasn't gone away. It's key to learn from previous mistakes. But don't let one fall keep you from ever trying to walk again!

In 2016 I tried to integrate SAP's ERP software into a family company. 12 months and $$$$ later, we almost killed the company. Learned: Monolithic software requires changing everything at once. Like a heart, liver, and pancreas transplant on the same day. This is why we're building modular CollabTech.

Collaboration in the future will not be built by structures, but by trust and connections. That phrase is not just a philosophy, but a direction being realized by @_Daniel_Ospina through @RnDAO__. As the figure behind the CollabTech movement, Daniel is building an ecosystem where humans and AI can work in harmony: ► TogetherCrew helps communities understand themselves. ► Harmonica facilitates AI-based coordination. ► Common Ground creates community-owned collaboration spaces. RnDAO is not just a venture studio, but a movement to transform the way the world works from competition to collaboration.

Top crypto thought leaders shaping Ethereum, DeFi, and Blockchain innovation! I was asked by a mutual to help with accounts to learn from as a newbie, this prompted me to do a deep research so as to bring out top crypto personalities, and here are some of the top legends I’ll always recommend: @trent_vanepps, @DeFi_Dad, @FigoETH, @BfreshHB, @DefiDrew, @_Daniel_Ospina, @Alvin0617, @notgrubles, @tulipking, @0xTycoon, @Badenglishtea ————————— Let’s get into details about everyone of these legends; - Trent Vanepps: a key figure in $ETH core development ecosystem, serving as a member and organizer for @ProtocolGuild, the leading independent funding organization for ETH core devs - DeFi dad a prominent DeFi educator, super user, podcaster (host of The Edge Pod), and angel investor via 4RCapital he writes newsletters which are free and YouTube contents on DeFi strategies. - FigoETH an ETH maximalist advocating for tokenization of global wealth and infinite sum games. his philosophy is “pain is inevitable, suffering optional.” - BFreshHB (Hunter) a community strategy lead at @offchain, also a top content creator in the Arbitrum ecosystem - DeFi Drew this legend create awesome posts which you can learn a lot from, and he focuses on balancing short-term tactics with long-term strategies in DeFi. Additionally, he’s bullish on Chain link. - Daniel Ospina a builder at @RnDAO__ (CollabTech ecosystem), and former Aragon head of governance and Singularity Net supervisory council. One of the things I learnt from his post is that "If you reveal the strategy of your organization, you will fail" - Alvin a builder who has been in the crypto space since 2017, he built @CryptoWesearch among others, focuses on new narratives and compliant exchanges. - Grubles an advocate for free software principles. he’s so bullish on Bitcoin, focuses on open-source and anti-centralization and engages in debates on network security and policy. - Tulip King The Tulip king is an investor who invests in Tulip, also a Staff engineer at Messari (onchain data & AI) he’s a stablecoins, DeFi projections, and ecosystem critique and he’s skeptical of overhyped projects but spots undervalued tech. - Tycoon a long term holder of punks. recently celebrated 5 years of holding the punk on his pfp. It’s important to add that he’s an Ethereum, DeFi, and a big CryptoPunks enthusiast. - Badenglishtea a private investor who has a target of $100m by 2028, he runs a Bittensor-based prediction platform company and also interested in stable micro transactions. it’s noteworthy to mention that he has always been bullish on BTC, NVDA & TAO. ———————— Learning from these accounts will shape one in becoming a thought leader in the crypto industry. Follow @commander_web3 for more deep research like this and do well to follow everyone of the listed accounts while also putting on their notifications. It’ll be a great pleasure if anyone of them engages & reposts this tweet whenever they come across it 🥺
