Celebrating the Power of Data in Healthcare Innovation.
Advanced Quantitative Sciences (AQS) India recently hosted the 14th edition of our annual statistics conference, Sankhya 2025, at the NOCC in Hyderabad. Centered around the theme “Data to Decision,” this year’s event highlighted how data-driven insights are accelerating smarter, faster, and more impactful choices across the pharmaceutical industry.
The conference opened with a compelling keynote by Dr. Suparna Chatterjee, Professor at IPGMER, Kolkata. Her talk, “The Unseen Architect: Who helps make better drugs,” shed light on the pivotal yet often overlooked role of statisticians in enabling scientific breakthroughs and improving patient outcomes.
Since its inception in 2011, Sankhya has grown into a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration across disciplines. This year’s three-day event welcomed over 400 participants and featured 80 presentations from internal teams and industry leaders representing organizations such as Pfizer, Merck, Sanofi, GSK, BMS and Eli Lilly. We were also pleased to have attendees from J&J and BITS-Pilani Hyderabad, contributing to the rich diversity of perspectives and engagement throughout the event.
Topics ranged from advanced statistical methodologies and real-world evidence to health technology assessments and collaborative approaches to clinical development—underscoring the depth and breadth of innovation happening at the intersection of data and healthcare.
As we look ahead to the next editions of Sankhya, the insights and connections forged this year will continue to inspire progress. By harnessing the transformative power of statistics, we remain committed to driving innovation and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients worldwide.
