I’ve made quite a bit of
#progress on this
#90daychallenge #app #habit #tracker #idea, and the topic of this post was given to me by the Indie App Accelerator community by
@Aivars_Meijers.
The
#quote « If you’re not ashamed of your first version, it’s because you launched it too late » is the subject of some debate. And I do think it’s no longer valid in this form.
The interpretation I’ve always made is that you shouldn’t launch an app that already contains all the features, advanced animations and all the rest. A first version is an
#mvp. It means the minimum to address the
#problem you want to solve. Whether B2B or B2C.
A concrete example would be the
#habittracker I’m working on!
My problem is that I want to be able to track the
#evolution my
#progress. Typically, the progression of the number of
#subscribers on
#socialnetworks.
So yes, it must exist, but I’m a dev and I like to do things myself to get a tailor-made solution.
The
#idea 💡 is to implement a
#collaborativeapproach to this kind of
#challenge, whether private or public.
But the problem is that to do this, you first have to code a part of the tracker. And that’s where the MVP comes in.
If nobody uses the app, then the « social » mode is of no interest, so the project is null and void. So we need to start by releasing a first version before spending a lot of time
#fine-tuning everything.
That’s how I see it, maybe you’ve got another one and that’s great, so don’t hesitate to say so in the comments!
