Sequence of an Osprey diving for a fish, catching it and flying off with it. It was a pretty large fish so it took a while for the Osprey to gain enough momentum to lift off high enough to fly off with his breakfast. Taken last week at the Cornell Lab.

HALF A BILLION birds will migrate over the US on Sep 27 and close to that number tonight. Over 1B die each year from hitting glass. Turn off your lights & treat your windows with Feather Friendly markers to help.

get the CornellLab Merlin Bird ID app, identify the birds by sound then you'll know what food to put out for them. My fav is putting out peanuts for the Blue Jays I have.
