Tomorrow is a reminder that something very small is shaping a very big part of our lives and it is
#DNA. π§¬
We may not see it, but DNA is working every day. It determines how plants grow, how crops respond to stress, and how we can improve the food we depend on. From the seed in the soil to the harvest in the field, DNA is part of the journey.
In agriculture, understanding DNA is helping us move from guesswork to precision.
Instead of waiting many seasons to see change, scientists can now develop better crop varieties that are stronger, more productive, and able to face challenges like pests, diseases, and changing weather.
As Rwanda joins the world to celebrate DNA Week 2026, will bring science closer to people, showing how biotechnology is shaping the future of our everyday lives, agriculture, environment, and innovation.
This week is about understanding how DNA influences the crops we grow, the food we eat, and the solutions we need for tomorrow. From expert seminars to public talks and discussions, this is a space to learn, ask questions, and see how biotechnology is making a real impact.
