Does anyone have experience or research for Agile being applied to non-software development projects?
i'm seeing more and more companies trying to apply Agile to data analysis and it just feel clunky and broken, and it destroys curiosity.
ππΌRT please for more reach?
@OSPpatrick and I talk about data vis as art and as information transfer in our latest @tidy_explained episode. There are few different ways you can look at it, and it definitely isn't just a single degree of freedom
Yeah good point! Itβs like it has to be pleasing enough to bring in non-technical people but straightforward enough not to alienate the people that just want the raw hard facts. Hard balance to achieve! #DataEveryone
Oh my gosh definitely. Even some of my βart artβ is minimalist and only computer drawn because that is an art form to say more with less for sure β€οΈ #DataEveryone
having both is idealβ¨β¨ plus I feel like artistic doesnβt always have to mean that it has to be a Picasso work of art, could just be simple-using whitespace & color effectively
Had to screenshot this answer. Itβs too good. I see what you mean. Like I find all of your vizzes to be very artistic but they do all communicate #data. Mine may be partially made in @rstudio but the dataset itself is not part of the piece. #DataEveryone
hmmm...is all data viz art?? No
can data viz be art?? Yes, but then is it data viz or data art?
I associate data viz that is βartβ with a viz that is insightful & functional but also aesthetic vs. data art which is just purely for aesthetic purpose
