A two-day workshop on Cybersecurity Awareness and Best Practices is being organised by CIET-NCERT from 30-31 July, 2025.
Day 1 Highlights:
The workshop was started with a formal welcome by Shri N.L. Srinivas, Deputy CISO, NCERT.
Prof. Amarendra P. Behera, Head of Planning and Research Division, CIET-NCERT, delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the importance of cybersecurity and shared how even well-known personalities fall victim to cyber crimes.
Prof. P.C. Aggarwal, Joint Director, NCERT, delivered the inaugural address. He highlighted the increasing use of the internet in today's world and stressed the need for strong cybersecurity measures against malwares and other vulnerability.
Dr. Rajesh D, Associate Professor and Incharge Head, DICT and Training and CISO of NCERT proposed a formal vote of thanks during the inaugural session.
The day was divided into four technical sessions along with a special session: A Special Session was delivered by Shri Anil Kumar Jha, Senior Director (IT), NIC-India, on DevOps and DevSecOp.
Also Sh. Yash Dhingra, Scientist-D, CERT-In provided a demo and Hands-on Cybersecurity Practices.
Further, Dr. Rejaul Karim Barbhuiya, Assistant Professor, DICT & TD, CIET-NCERT deliberated on the theme 'Cyber Ethics'.
Besides, Md. Saba Akhtar, Scientist-G, NIC, MeitY presented on the topic Cybersecurity Challenges and Best Practices in educational Organizations.
At the end Sh. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, Programmer, NCERT took a session on how to be Safe in Cyber Space.
Both Academic and Non-Academic staff members attended the program from various constituents of NCERT through face to face and online mode.
