Sikkim Officers Honoured with President’s Medals Ahead of Republic Day 2026 TVS Report, 25 Jan : Senior officers from Sikkim’s police and fire services have been recognised with prestigious President’s Medals in the 77th Republic Day 2026 honours list, celebrating their dedication, integrity, and long-standing public service. Ashwani Kumar Chand, IPS, who is currently posted as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Sikkim, has been chosen for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service. In the same list, Superintendent of Police Tshering Sherpa has been awarded the President’s Medal for Meritorious Police Service.
