The India–Japan Roundtable was held today at India Energy Week 2026 on opportunities for collaboration across the energy value chain, chaired by @Secretary_MoPNG Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. In this Roundtable, 28 Japanese delegates representing 17 companies across industry, government, and multilateral institutions participated. Discussions focused on strengthening hydrocarbon cooperation across trade and investments, inviting Japanese companies to participate in the ongoing OALP X round, and expanding collaboration in ethanol and biofuels, supported by India’s surplus ethanol capacity, diversified feedstocks such as used cooking oil (UCO), and progress on blending targets. The India–Netherlands Roundtable was held today at India Energy Week 2026 on “Facilitating Bilateral Partnerships for the Creation of a Sustainable Clean Energy Ecosystem”, with participation from over 50 energy professionals and more than 20 Dutch companies. The discussions focused on advancing a strategic partnership between the two sides, including the creation of last-mile channels to enhance export efficiency, development of green hydrogen corridors and hydrogen receiving stations, and collaboration in R&D and scale-up of blue and grey hydrogen, including innovation in catalysts. Opportunities for pilot projects in areas such as desalination, microgrids, membrane technologies, and high-pressure fuel injection systems were also explored.
