chDB Node v3 is getting a serious glow-up. The idea: bring ClickHouse power into your Node/Bun/Deno process, without making you babysit Docker, node-gyp, or a local server. What’s coming: · async queries that don’t freeze the event loop · server-side params, not string interpolation · inserts, streaming, Arrow output · typed errors and prebuilt binaries · a ClickHouse-client-style embedded driver for dev/CI · a Kysely-style fluent API for OLAP, TypeScript, and AI agents We just added the public architecture docs to the PR. If you care about embedded analytics, Dockerless ClickHouse testing, or making OLAP nicer in TypeScript, we’d love your review, feedback, and any discussion from the community. PR: github.com/chdb-io/chdb-node…

I need 967.288288 $PROVE to wake up my prover 🙂 It's well known that GPU VM instances capable of running docker are very expensive, so I've written a script that will allow you to run the provers in a dockerless environment, which can drastically reduce your costs, and you're welcome to use it 👇 x.com/walirttt/status/194000… #ShowMeYourProver

Follow up. Dockerless Midnight Validator Setups *can* be done 💯👍🏻 (There's just a lot of what should be unnecessary file extraction work required from Container Volumes first, but you can reverse engineer it okay)

I have now On-Chain Registered my own INTRT Preview Testnet Stake Pool over to Midnight Validator duties as a sanity check for my Clients becoming Validators themselves in the future on Mainnet. My Midnight Validator Registration Transaction's `Datum detail` is available to see here on the Cardano Preview Testnet side: preview.cexplorer.io/datum/3… Plus, the Confirmation of Validator Registration on the Midnight Chain side is shown below. A notable feature of this Midnight Validator Setup 'O Mine is that *NONE* of its Architecture is running inside of ANY Docker Containers 🎉🍻 Right well, as the screenshot below says, I'm off to sleep! 💤

Dockerless decentralized compute is here. DePINed's architecture skips containers and auto-routes jobs to idle users. Akash and io.net can’t keep up with that UX.

Really should have a dockerless version of midnight look like I am not the only one who prefer to not use docker. For me it was the hacking incident of a korean Cardano spo using docker and remote connection to his docker was on and he lost his whole pledge.
Midnight-Testnet Validator I wanted to get this going for a long time now, but only in the christmas holidays i found the time to do a setup for this. Finally got it running today and playing around with midnight. Was a bit challenging, because i wanted to do it without any docker environments... 🤣 But this all feels super alpha or beta to me, there is room to improve it. And thats why we need testers, devs, validators! Also, many thanks to @CryptoJoe101 who extracted the midnight-node for me from the docker stuff. Was trying to get v1.3.0 to work, but Testnet still runs on v0.7.0 🤣. Also thanks to @olaahlman for pointing me in the right direction about db-sync stuff (i hate db-sync).

Its a weird take to me bcs you also dont need Docker to run PostgreSQL and its quite nice to run it with systemd :). I was dockerless for very long time with Pg. But team Kamal now:)

What's on the Roadmap for #DevPod? Dockerless. Dockerless removes the need for external registries when building images. Here's a short clip of @fabiankramm from our recent DevPod Office Hours stream going over what Dockerless is and why it's essential.

Thank you Joe! Docker was definitely the biggest headache in setup. It also limited people who wanted to sign the partkey using a Ledger since Docker doesn't access USB ports without additional fiddling around. Dockerless is the way to go.

Working on a dockerless update of algorun (one-click node). It allows you to change the data directory and works on all platforms natively, which are the biggest problems I've been seeing.
