The Department of Physics, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, in association with the Department of Energy Science and Engineering (DESE), IIT Delhi, is organizing the International Conference “TARGETs-2026: Trends and Advances in Reforming Green Energy Technologies” from February 13–15, 2026.
The conference serves as a global platform for deliberations on emerging research, technological innovations and policy-relevant discussions in the domains of green energy, energy conversion and storage technologies. The program brings together academicians, scientists, industry professionals, young researchers and scholars from India and abroad to exchange ideas and foster collaborations aimed at addressing pressing energy challenges.
The inaugural session was graced by Shri Devendra Verma, Scientist-G & Associate Director, DRDO, Delhi, who emphasized the strategic importance of sustainable and indigenous energy technologies in ensuring long-term energy security.
The conference features technical sessions and invited talks covering a wide range of themes including renewable energy systems, hydrogen production and storage, advanced battery technologies (Li/Na/Mg-ion, solid-state systems), fuel cells, supercapacitors, nanostructured materials, photovoltaics, thermoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerators, hydroelectric and geothermal technologies, and advancements in energy-efficient transportation systems.
TARGETs-2026 reflects IIT (ISM) Dhanbad’s continued commitment to research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration and sustainable technological advancement in the energy sector.
