The Six-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan was successfully concluded at UGC-MMTTC, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur, Sonipat.
Over six enriching days (23–28 March 2026), the programme brought together academicians and practitioners to explore participatory approaches that bridge academic research with meaningful community engagement. Through expert-led sessions, discussions, and field visits, participants gained valuable insights into applying CBPR to address grassroots challenges and foster sustainable, community-driven development.
The FDP witnessed inspiring contributions from eminent speakers, including Shri Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (RUSA/UBA), Ministry of Education; Prof. (Dr.) Sudesh, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Virendra Kumar Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT Delhi; Dr. Rajesh Tandon, Member, UGC SEG Committee; and Dr. Diksha Rajput, Joint Secretary, UGC.
The programme was successfully organised under the leadership of Dr. Shefali Nagpal, Director, UGC-MMTTC, and Dr. Manju Panwar, Professor, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, whose guidance ensured its smooth execution and meaningful impact.
The FDP stands as a significant step towards strengthening academia–community partnerships and promoting participatory and inclusive approaches in higher education.
