Madhya Pradesh: Over 70% Private Schools Fail to Disclose Fee Structure Despite State Law*
A recent investigation has revealed that more than 70% of private schools in
#MadhyaPradesh are operating in open violation of the state's law that mandates full disclosure of their fee structure. Despite the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vidyalaya (Fees Tatha Sambandhit Vishayon Ka Viniyaman) Act, 2017, which requires private schools to publicly declare their class-wise fee structure, including tuition, lab, and transport charges, and the percentage hike from the previous academic year, a staggering 24,475 schools have failed to comply.
*Key Findings:*
- Only 10,304 out of 34,779 private schools (29.62%) have uploaded their fee details for the 2025-26 academic session on the government portal
dpimp.in.
- Top private schools in
#Bhopal, including Delhi Public School, Neelbad, Orion International School, Bawadiya Kalan, Billabong High International, Neelbad, Sanskar Valley School, Neelbad, and Bal Bhawan School, Shamla Hills, have not complied with the law.
- Despite a recent relaxation for low-fee schools, the adherence to the law has not significantly improved.
"Call to Action:"
Dr. Rajat Sharma, Founder President of Unity of Nations Action For Climate Change Council (
@UNacccMP ,) has slammed the state government
@DrMohanYadav51 for failing to enforce its own
#law and demanded that the Central
#Government intervene in this issue. Parents and the general public are urging the government to impose fines and penalties on all non-compliant schools without delay.
