COMMUNITY HEALTH OUTREACH REPORT Gongola Health and Development Initiative (GHADI), in collaboration with the Taraba State Health Fellows Group 2, Jalingo, successfully conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) at Sabon Gari, Anguwan Codin. The session centered on abortion prevention among young people and provided a platform for open and interactive discussions on reproductive health issues affecting adolescents and youths in the community. During the discussion, participants were educated on the importance of making informed and responsible decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health. Key topics covered included abstinence, the dangers of unsafe abortion, prevention of unintended pregnancies, peer pressure management, self-discipline, parental guidance, and access to accurate reproductive health information. The facilitators also emphasized the value of education, career development, and positive lifestyle choices as tools for empowering young people and reducing risky behaviors. The session encouraged active participation, allowing community members to share their experiences, concerns, and suggestions. Participants were urged to seek appropriate counseling and healthcare services whenever necessary and to serve as ambassadors of positive change within their communities.
