Yesterday was nothing short of amazing!
I was thrilled to witness the unveiling of the FoodTech 500 companies by
@forwardfooding in London, UK.
My key takeaway from the event:
While there has been a noticeable decline in agritech investments recently, there are encouraging signs of recovery. It seems investors are beginning to reconsider opportunities in the agritech space. The discussions highlighted where we currently stand in the industry and how investors can continue to support innovation and growth in the sector.
2025 is looking brighter for agritech and FoodTech startups!
I was especially excited to see that Meatly's lab-grown meat has now entered the market. As someone who has always advocated for lab-grown meat, this was a truly exciting development.
Kudos to Owen Ensor and his entire team at Meatly
I was also pleased to see
olio • share more, waste less, make it to the FoodTech 500 list. I still remember when I first came to the UK for my studies—I used Olio a lot and almost volunteered with them! It's inspiring to see the incredible work they and other companies are doing in tackling food waste.
It was a fantastic experience connecting with several agritech and FoodTech startups at the event. And, of course, it was great to see Alessio D'Antino, CEO of
@forwardfooding in person.
