Separated by a decade - I so wish I could have been @lulusouzaleao's @UMSociology colleague, esp with this articulation of #GlobalizingKnowledge & Sociology!
Thanks @umichCID! Some opinions I rarely have the chance of articulating came out: “I would argue that the US is often provincial in how it looks at itself. It is still rare that US scholars will compare the US to other countries, or even cite scholarship done in other places.”

I met @LVetevendosje leader @albinkurti a decade ago, & wrote about them in #GlobalizingKnowledge. To meet him as 🇽🇰 Prime Minister reinforces my hopes for democracy. His #SociologicalImagination, & those of his abiding colleagues like @GusiaLinda & @NitaLuci, ground my optimism.

It's more than #GlobalizingKnowledge when one seeks examples of #EngagedScholarship elsewhere in the midst of #Covid19. I appreciate learning from @DrNiamhOReilly @Aontas about how to address #EducationalEquality irishtimes.com/news/educatio… via @IrishTimes #PandemicSociology

I have so appreciated getting to know @IvetaSilova @MelikianASU thru @OSFEducation, especially for her commitments to understanding how education has shaped post-socialist transformations vimeo.com/284281836 as well as environmental engagements broadly. #GlobalizingKnowledge
