One of the oldest NativeScript performance tips has been to use a single GridLayout when possible, instead of nesting multiple FlexboxLayouts. Minimising the depth of the DOM tree was the thing this advice was getting at. Cool to hear that it applies to the real thing as well!

If you render 1000 empty divs with absolute size and position and minimal CSS that'll also be fast! It's not the rendering that's slow, it's style and layout. Ignoring caching, style is O(num_nodes * num_style_rules), and flexbox/grid are O(2^depth_of_tree).

Programming journey #15 Today I learned how to use Kivy, a software library for the development of applications, because next steps will be to create an Apple Store App. This is why I learned all Kivy basics, using .kv & .py files. What I have learned: >Layouts (BoxLayout, AnchorLayout, GridLayout, StackLayout, PageLayout, ScrollView) >Switch >Slider >Progress Bar >Add Images >Screen Manager >ActionBar >Canvas

How to Grow a Garden—Layout and Planning. The layout of a garden depends on the vegetables you grow. While it's difficult to adjust beds to specific vegetables, it's easy to group vegetables with the same needs for spacing together: Make a planting grid. The one we use most is based on a 12X12-in. (30X30-cm) square area. Follow the link 🔗to see how many seeds or plants to put in each grid square. Our experts demonstrate and explain.🌿 GrownByYou: We’re All About How.℠ grownbyyou.com/planning/buil… #GardeningX #vegetablegarden #gardenlayout #gardendesign #gardengrid #gridsystems #plantinggrid #gridlayout #plantingvegetables #plantingseeds #plantingideas
