On the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra on June 5, 2025, a grand Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of the Ram Darbar was held at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the event as the chief guest, which also coincided with his 53rd birthday.
This was the second Pran Pratishtha at the Ram temple complex, where the idols of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman were ceremoniously installed on the first floor of the temple. The consecration ritual began at a highly auspicious time between 11:25 AM and 11:40 AM, as determined by astrologers. Eminent priests and Vedic scholars from across the country chanted sacred mantras and conducted rituals to invoke divine presence in the idols.
In addition to the Ram Darbar, the consecration was also performed in seven other temples located within the broader temple complex, adding depth and spiritual richness to the event.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s presence gave the event added significance. His participation not only underscored the state government’s commitment to religious and cultural heritage, but also reaffirmed Ayodhya’s identity as a centre of national faith and cultural pride.
This consecration marks another major milestone in the Ram Mandir construction project and further elevates Ayodhya’s place on the global spiritual map, inspiring millions of devotees and future pilgrims.
