ALT Le CRSN, structure métier de l’INSP dispose d’un Système de surveillance démographique et de santé (SSDS) fonctionnel depuis 1992 à ce jour. Cet observatoire démographique couvre 59 localités (58 villages plus la ville de Nouna). Cette aire de recherche a été étendue en 2018 à la superficie du district sanitaire de Nouna à travers la mise en œuvre du projet de recherche « Macrolides oraux pour la réduction des décès avec un œil sur les résistances » (MORDOR II).
Le SSDS qui a pour particularité d’être un observatoire de collecte continue de données sur des phénomènes démographiques, socioéconomiques et sanitaires sur une population dans une zone bien délimitée, produit régulièrement un rapport SSDS
