A massive 13-foot-long Indian Rock Python was safely rescued from the Pathargaon area of Maval and released back into the forest by wildlife rescuers and forest officials.
The rescue was carried out jointly by the Wildlife Rapid Response Unit Maval, the Vadgaon Maval Forest Department and the Wildlife Rescuers of Maval team. Rescuers Vishal Kedari, Avinash Kedari, Dinesh Kedari, Navnath Kedari, Ajit Nanekar and Ketika Kasetwar carefully captured the reptile without harming it or nearby residents.
The python was then examined by wildlife experts Jigar Solanki and Rounak Khare along with Forest Guard Mahore under the supervision of Prakash Shinde and Nilesh Garade. Officials confirmed that the snake was healthy and had not suffered any injuries.
After the health check, the python was released deep inside a forest area away from homes and farms. Experts said the Indian Rock Python is non-venomous and usually comes near villages while searching for rats, rabbits and other small animals.
