📢I am seeking outstanding PhD candidates to join newly funded research projects supported by the Australian Research Council (ARC) and National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). Successful candidates will be based at Griffith University's Nathan campus in Brisbane, Australia. Project 1: Responsive Imaging and Drug Delivery Systems Desired experience and skills include: -Nanomaterial synthesis and characterisation -Cell-based assays -Fluorescence imaging -Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) -Animal handling Project 2: Organ-on-a-Chip Technologies Desired experience and skills include: -Mammalian cell culture -Cell-based assays -Microfluidics -Biochemistry and molecular biology Applicants are expected to have an excellent academic record, reflected by a high GPA, and preferably a strong publication track record, including first-author publications. You must hold either an Honours or Master's degree to be eligible to apply. We welcome applications from highly motivated candidates with a keen interest in interdisciplinary biomedical research. New cover from Ella Maru Studio for @LabonaChip Cheap and cheerful way to study microfluidics💉💧 Priscilla Delgado and David Myers created a new educational activity that enables students to build and test microfluidic systems in a classroom setting with inexpensive materials. It not only teaches students to construct the devices, but allows them to gain understanding about miniaturization science, device design, and construction to be able to do so independently.
