last year i joined a SAP leanix project in transition phase. just me and my manager. no team, nothing. i handled everything… automated most of the work, even started building an AI agent around it. things were smooth, work was getting done fast, everyone seemed happy.
then came MBO time.
rating out of 5.
i got 3.
just 3. same rating everyone gets by default.
i asked why.
he said i complete tasks too fast… and that’s not good.
imagine that.
then later i find out he himself got 3 from his manager… so he just passed the same down.
so no matter how much you do, sometimes the system is already fixed.
this is why people stop caring.
anyway… time to move on.
