I think I tend to just prefix the -s to whatever the next word is.
like lessmodels, almost "less smodels"
I feel like it's less effort to add that s- to any word. lesscars, lesspeople.

If we had more corner retail in neighbourhoods more people would have the option of shopping on foot, daily. This approach to retail would/could become normalized - instead of being something rare, exclusive and expensive. We could begin the shift from being a Costco shopping city to a neighbourhood shopping city. To an extent.
