This is the idea of client portals
Coda does NOT support this in any native way right now.
It can be stood up in a LOW_CODE manner using my 2-way sync pack and the doc explorer pack.
That will fully automate the creation of client portals (individual docs) with fully synced data thanks to the 2 way sync pack I created.
Its hacky at best - I'd launch it myself because I live and breathe Coda but wouldnt recommend this to an average Coda user.
So where does that leave us?
Well, you can use cross-doc but there are a whole HOST of problems with that to where I'd never recommend it to anyone.
A low-code deployment of true customer portals then would be utilizing something like
@NolocoHQ as your customer portal front-end that taps into your Coda data in a secure way.
But as of yet, despite me pushing for it, No lo co does not have a native Coda integration so it would be 1 way (read only) at best.
Your NEXT best bet is to use
@nocodebackend and our Xano pack and create custom portals for your clients on noloco or a weweb front end.
Then you can still use Coda as your backend.
But thats complex, maybe you just want a fast solution.
You need to wait for sync pages, fully editable sync pages where users do not need access to the source doc in order to see/use the sync page itself.
This will be your quickest and easiest way to stand this up, but still - thats not launched yet.
For most people, this future launch of sync pages will allow for quick and easy customer portals.
If your company grows jack and you want a fully white-labeled system where your users don't need to sign up for Coda accounts, etc, you'll need to go the Weweb<>Coda<>Xano approach Ive mentioned
