As part of the Chennai City Partnership – Sustainable Urban Services Program (CCP–SUSP), MTC Chennai, in coordination with the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department, conducted a Live Fire Safety Demonstration and En-route Emergency Response Training Programme at Anna Square Bus Stand today (16.06.2026). The programme featured real-time demonstrations on passenger evacuation, electric bus fire response, battery fire awareness, firefighting equipment usage, and coordinated emergency management. The initiative helped create awareness among passengers, the public, MTC staff, GCC operators, and emergency responders, reinforcing our commitment to safe, reliable, and sustainable public transport. Extend 51C route from Pudupakkam to Kelambakkam or Mambakkam and add 2 more buses. It will help public in Karanai and Thalambur to access Vandalur Kelambakkam road and to Kilambakkam

102, 109 bus bunching is very high. Have seen 3 ac buses going at the same time.

95 bus route is more, always 3-4 buses standing still in Thiruvanmiyur depot. 99 route is very long, should add more buses that goes halfway from either side. New route Adyar to central via marina ula bus going this way btw. Also adyar to egmore. MTC should reduce bus bunching.
