The Lake Jackson community was hard-hit by Hurricane Beryl – and the Kelsey-Seybold Mobile Unit team sprang into action to support. By Friday, July 12, the Mobile Unit was set up to offer care and support to Kelsey-Seybold patients living in the Lake Jackson community and surrounding areas, even while the Lake Jackson Clinic and community were without power.
Lake Jackson Clinic provider Roland Prezas, MD, family medicine, and clinical support staff Mary Cothern, RN, and Angela Duron, LVN III, cared for 18 patients who needed medical care – thank you for your service to our patients at this difficult time. In addition to medical care, patients received other resources and support including food and an opportunity to use the Mobile Unit’s wi-fi to contact loved ones due to cellular outages.
Today, we celebrate the heroes who cared for our Lake Jackson patients during the recovery efforts and those helped get the Mobile Unit where it needed to be – our amazing operations team! Thank you, Stanley John, Sr. Manager of Onsite Clinical Operations, Stuart Cayer, Sr. Director of Ambulatory Clinics, Andrew Fontenot, Director of Ambulatory Care, John Lyle, SVP of Healthcare Service Lines, Aaron Carlson, SVP of Ambulatory Services, and Donnie Aga, MD, Chief Medical Officer. We applaud the efforts of our operations and local medical care team on the ground in Lake Jackson for their commitment to this resilient community!
