We were invited by the good folk of Holymoorside to represent Peak District Mountain Rescue this evening at their Well Dressing as PDMRO celebrates it’s 60th anniversary.
Thank you to everyone involved, over 800 hours has gone into the excellent displays.

Incident 5 - Sunday 21st January 2024. Asked by our PDMRO Duty Controller to assist a walker above Only Grange Farm who had slipped and sustained a lower leg injury as a result. Conveyed to a waiting @EMASNHSTrust ambulance and onward to hospital for further treatment.

Incident 131 - Monday 23rd October 2023 19:22hrs. A request from our Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation - PDMRO controller via @DerbysPolice to help a family who became benighted up the Derwent Valley. A quick response and a quick job - all sorted and everyone safe.

Congratulations to Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation, who will be receiving their honorary doctorate this afternoon for providing essential services to outdoor users and the local community. PDMRO represents mountain rescue teams in the Peak with 350 members.

Well, that was a year we’ll remember! It was the busiest year in the history of Edale Mountain Rescue Team, with 156 incidents attended. This has also been the case across the PDMRO. Compared to last years 76 fundraising activities, this year we’ve only managed 20.
