Apart from the proactive FCT CP, I've also noticed that Police officers in different parts of the country have stepped up their efforts in the fight against banditry. I now read reports of officers foiling abduction attempts, arresting bandits and disrupting criminal activities and as someone who has been a critic of the NPF, I cannot ignore these positive changes without acknowledging and commending them.
I hope they sustain this momentum because military is already overstretched and the support by the Police will go a long way in the fight against the enemies of our nation
I've been seeing videos of the FCT Police Commissioner leading his officers to confront bandits and taking the fight directly to their hideouts. It has been a long time since I've seen such a proactive Police chief, most Police commissioners are pot-bellied and prefer riding around in luxury SUVs.
If we had CPs like him in every state of the federation, Nigeria would undoubtedly be a much safer place.
