What if one conversation could unlock the potential, confidence, and transformation someone has carried within them for years? That is the power of coaching.
Eight years ago, when I made the decision to become a coach, I honestly did not fully understand how impactful this profession would become in my life and in the lives of others.
What started as a personal growth journey has now become one of the most transformational experiences I have witnessed in leadership and people development.
Last week, I walked into a room filled with over 200 delegates from leading organizations, all gathered around one powerful theme: Coaching.
In that moment, I realized how much the world is evolving and embracing coaching as a critical leadership and people development tool.
I was particularly inspired to witness the unveiling of Uganda’s first ICF Accredited Coaching Programme, the Workplace Coach Accreditation Programme, offered by Imagine Me Africa Ltd under the visionary leadership of Coach
@joan_mugenzi , MCC.
The vision of this program to make coaching accessible to everyone who needs it in the workplace is both timely and transformational. Thank you, Joan, for making what used to be something for the C-Suite accessible to Gen Z in their first year of employment.
It was equally insightful listening to Patrick Ayota share how coaching has transformed the culture and performance at the National Social Security Fund Uganda, alongside the rich discussions from panelists of Sylvia Mulomi, Stephen Mukasa PCC, and Julius Rwotlonyo, who each shared how coaching had transformed their leadership journeys.
The icing on the cake was the presentation from Chief Guest, Malcolm Fiellies, PCC, Regional Director for International Coaching Federation Europe and Africa, who shared global statistics insights on coaching trends.
The entire discussion confirmed that Coaching is not just a corrective measure but a powerful pathway to unlocking human potential, transforming leaders, and building stronger workplaces.
The future of leadership will not only depend on technical competence, but also on the ability to empower, inspire, and bring out the best in people, leveraging tools like Coaching.
