⚠️🌿 High Pollen Alert – Cornwall’s Sinus Olympics Are Back! 🌿⚠️
Brought to you by
@iosflowers
because apparently, they think we need more pollen in our lives!
Good morning, Cornwall! ☀️
If you’ve already sneezed so hard today that your neighbour waved at you from two streets away, you are not alone. Pollen season is strutting back onto the stage this week, uninvited, overdressed, and ready to make our noses run like they’re late for a bus.
Whether you’re…
🌱 Attempting some gentle gardening,
🐕 Taking the dog for a “quick” walk,
🏠 Or daring to crack open the window for a breath of fresh air,
…your sinuses might already be waving the white flag.
🌾 Today’s Pollen Levels:
HIGH across Cornwall, with nettles leading the sneeze parade. They’re still warming up for their big performance later this month, but for those of us on Team Hay Fever, the first few blows have already been landed.
📅 The August Pollen Calendar:
Dock & Plantain, Wrapping up their season (finally).
Ragweed, Mugwort, Nettle, and Oilseed Rape are taking over the late summer sneeze schedule.
In other words: just when you thought you could put the tissues away… surprise! 🎉
💡 Pollen Fact of the Day:
One plant can release millions of pollen grains. They’re so lightweight, the wind can carry them for miles, which explains why you can be sneezing your head off in the middle of a concrete car park with zero flowers in sight.
Stay strong, Cornwall, this isn’t our first rodeo. Keep your antihistamines and tissues closer, and remember: every sneeze is your body’s dramatic way of saying “I love you, but please stop, nature.”
Kind regards,
KWT Dave 🌤
