Well they already did. Shared space apps are that, but the tooling needed a lot of work to compete with Unity & Unreal. Polyspatial was Unity's effort to plug into that.

I am going to see if I can get a few videos ready for Meta Connect week. Few things I am thinking are: Niantic New PCA Quest features such as classification, meshing, etc, then I want to dive into AVP w/ PolySpatial and test object tracking capabilities exposed to Unity…If there is something you haven’t seen on YouTube yet for XR let me know.
