Pakistan’s IT Revenue Hits $3.47B - Will this Growth Sustain? Pakistan’s IT sector achieved a major milestone this year, with revenue increasing by 19% in the first month and reaching $3.47 billion for the first time. According to the State Bank, the sector also performed well in May 2025, with a 4% monthly increase in revenue. However, annual growth for May showed a slight 1% decline. Over the 11 months of the financial year, the total revenue stood at $3.47 billion compared to $2.92 billion in the previous year, marking significant progress. P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Syed highlighted two key reasons behind this growth: increased exports to GCC countries and the strengthening of the Pakistani rupee. Despite this progress, he expressed serious concerns about the impact of the new budget on the industry. He stated that the budgetary decisions made for the upcoming year could negatively affect future revenue, especially for legal entities operating within Pakistan. Mr. Sajjad Syed also shared that P@SHA had provided the government with practical recommendations to support the IT sector; however, those suggestions were unfortunately overlooked. As a result, the industry is beginning to witness signs of a slowdown. He cautioned that if the current approach continues, revenue growth could plateau and eventually decline. While the sector has shown its strength and potential, its continued success depends heavily on supportive and consistent government policies. Without that, the momentum could slow down, and the progress made so far might begin to unravel. . . @PSEB @MoitOfficial @tdap_official @sifcpakistan @Financegovpk #PASHA #FederalBudget2025 #ITIndustry #TechPolicy #SupportITExports #ITSector #RemoteWorkPolicy #TaxReforms #DigitalPakistan #BudgetConcerns #DFDI

Budget 2025–26: A Make or Break Moment for Pakistan’s IT Industry P@SHA Chairman Mr. Sajjad Syed appeared on 365 News where he openly addressed concerns about Budget 2025–26 and its potential impact on Pakistan’s IT industry. He stressed that the industry's growth depends on how the government responds. If the right policies are implemented and industry voices are heard, Pakistan’s digital economy could continue to grow, possibly at an even faster pace. But if the industry’s recommendations are ignored, the momentum could stall, and the flow of foreign investment may decline. The IT industry is ready to move forward, but it needs policy support not roadblocks! . . #PASHA #FederalBudget2025 #ITIndustry #TechPolicy #ITSectorCrisis #SupportITExports #ITSector #RemoteWorkPolicy #TaxReforms #DigitalPakistan #BudgetConcerns #DFDI

He emphasized that the absence of a long-term, stable tax framework risks damaging investor confidence, slowing export growth, and putting $700M in DFDI at stake. With over 600,000 youth employed in IT, P@SHA called for urgent reforms to secure the sector’s future and support economic recovery. . . #PASHA #FederalBudget2025 #TechPolicy #ITSectorCrisis #SupportITExports #ITSector #RemoteWorkPolicy #TaxReforms #DigitalPakistan #TechIndustry #BudgetConcerns #DFDI

The Lagos State Government has officially ended its work-from-home policy for public servants, effective March 31, 2025. The policy, introduced in February 2024, was initially implemented to ease the financial burden caused by the removal of the fuel subsidy. However, with the recent approval of a new N85,000 minimum wage, the government believes workers can now manage transportation costs without remote work. The Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, emphasized that this decision aligns with efforts to enhance service delivery and improve overall productivity across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). #LagosState #PublicService #WorkFromHome #RemoteWorkPolicy #MinimumWage #FuelSubsidy #CivilService #GovernmentPolicy #ServiceDelivery #Productivity #MDAs #WorkplaceUpdate #LagosNews #NigerianGovernment #LaborPolicy #EconomicReforms #NewWage
